Happy Journal: 004

Another quiet and uneventful week had gone (not like I’m expecting something eventful or anything) and that was it January is over. Wow, it’s already February and next thing you know I’ll be dating myself again on Valentine’s Day.

I seriously can’t believe that my baby is already 6 months old. I could still vividly remember the time I went to the car dealership to pick it up and now I’m already due for its first 6 months preventive maintenance check up. In less than a year, Casper has been through some tough times.

  • Minor scratch on the chin while I was driving it out of the car dealership.
  • A van recklessly switched lanes and grazed the left end side of my car.
  • My puppy Bear decided to make my front bumper a chew toy.
  • Motorcycle scratches on different sides of the car.

Aside from the preventive maintenance check-up, I decided to include an engine wash to make sure that the engine is clean and free from ashes caused by the Taal volcano eruption.

I also scheduled my car for a touch-up to get rid of the nasty bite marks my little puppy caused when he decided to make my bumper a chew toy.

While having my car serviced, I took advantage of the long waiting hours to get some work done. With my laptop in hand, I went to find a cozy coffee place where I could work without distractions. After sending a bunch of emails, scanning documents on my phone, and reviewing some paper works, it felt unbelievably satisfying to finish work with some time to spare for a quick massage.

I have been stressing lately with the requirements I need to submit to a client so I took advantage of the free time I had and booked myself an hour of Swedish massage. For a couple of weeks now, I’ve been relying heavily on massage chairs for a quick massage just to release stress; So I was ecstatic to have booked a real massage for a change.

My sister and her husband went on a trip recently and decided to pick up a nice red wallet/card holder for me. They thought it would be a perfect gift for me and they were absolutely right. What’s special about it is that it has a tiny mouse print on which symbolizes the year of the rat. It’s the cutest thing!

I usually spend a quiet Sunday at home; And whenever I go out it would be with my family. Last Sunday, my friends and I decided to have dinner at this quaint restaurant. After dinner, we went some place else to have coffee. Whenever we get together, we like to chit chat a lot and play Mobile Legends until late in the evening.
